Biography

Arvin Fekri (b. 1988) is a composer who earned his Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from the University of Toronto in 2016, following Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of British Columbia.

Arvin’s work spans a wide range of styles, from classical and contemporary music to electronic, rap, EDM, and rock. His music has been performed by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, Saxophilia, Nu:BC, and many others.

As a film composer, he has scored many projects, as listed on IMDb. His work includes a 2025 win for The Endless Journey and a 2023 nomination for Best Original Score for The Gold Teeth.

In addition to his work as a composer, Arvin is an active educator in piano, theory, harmony, and music history, and has helped many students successfully complete their Grade 10 RCM piano examinations.

He is active as a composer for films, video games, and concert music, and serves as head composer for the video game The Lays of Althas: Sundered Order.
